# Stats & Analytics
> A focused analytics dashboard with four tabs covering your consumption overview, activity heatmap, spending trends, and strain collection.
## Overview
The Stats & Analytics dashboard provides a detailed, data-rich view of your cannabis consumption history. Accessible via the **Full Analytics** button on your profile, the dashboard is organized into four focused tabs: Overview, Activity, Spending, and My Strains. All data is computed in real-time from your Convex database, so every new stash entry, consumption session, or order immediately updates your stats.

## Accessing the Dashboard
The stats dashboard is no longer a standalone tab. To access it:
Tap **You** in the bottom navigation bar to view your Cannabis Identity profile.
In the Intelligence section of your profile, tap **Full Analytics** to open the stats dashboard.

Hero stats, lifetime metrics, dispensary rankings, and top strains.
Activity heatmap and shopping pattern analysis.
Monthly spending charts, month-over-month comparison, and cost insights.
Your complete strain collection with search, filters, and analytics.
## Overview Tab
The Overview tab provides your high-level lifetime statistics:
### Lifetime Metrics
| Metric | Description |
| ------------------ | ----------------------------------------------- |
| **Total Orders** | Number of dispensary orders or receipt uploads |
| **Lifetime Spent** | Total amount spent across all tracked purchases |
| **Unique Strains** | Number of distinct strains you have tried |
| **Average Order** | Average dollar amount per order |
### Dispensary Rankings
A ranked list of your most-visited dispensaries based on order count and total spent. Helps you identify where you shop most and whether there are savings opportunities elsewhere.
### Top Strains
Your most frequently purchased or consumed strains, showing purchase frequency and total quantity consumed.
## Activity Tab
### Activity Heatmap
A GitHub-style contribution heatmap showing your stash activity for the current year. Each day is colored by intensity:
* **No activity** -- Empty cell
* **Light activity** -- 1-2 events
* **Moderate activity** -- 3-4 events
* **Heavy activity** -- 5+ events
You can navigate between years to view historical patterns.
### Shopping Patterns Heatmap
A visual day-of-week heatmap shows your order frequency across the week. Each day (Mon–Sun) is displayed as a cell colored by intensity — the more orders on that day, the darker the fill. Your most active day is highlighted with a border. Below the grid:
* **Favorite day** — The day you shop most, labeled directly
* **Average days between orders** — Computed mean reorder interval
* **This month / Last month** — Side-by-side order count comparison
| Insight | Description |
| ------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Purchase Frequency** | Average days between orders (weekly, biweekly, monthly, occasional) |
| **Preferred Day** | Day of the week you most often make purchases |
| **Average Items per Order** | Typical number of strains per purchase |
| **Average Days Between Orders** | The mean interval between dispensary visits |
## Spending Tab
### Monthly Spending Chart
A bar chart showing your spending by month for the selected time range (3, 6, or 12 months). Quickly visualize spending trends and seasonal patterns.
### Month-over-Month Comparison
A side-by-side comparison of the current month versus the previous month:
| Metric | Comparison |
| ------------------- | ------------------------------------------------- |
| **Total Spent** | Dollar difference and percentage change |
| **Order Count** | Number of orders compared |
| **Unique Strains** | How many different strains in each period |
| **Avg Order Value** | Whether your average purchase is going up or down |
### Spending Insights
AI-computed observations about your spending patterns, such as:
* Your most expensive strain per gram
* Most cost-effective dispensary
* Monthly spending trend direction
* Suggestions for optimization
## My Strains Tab
A comprehensive view of your personal strain collection with analytics:
* **Collection summary** -- Total strains, breakdown by type (sativa/hybrid/indica)
* **Searchable list** -- Filter your collection by name
* **Per-strain analytics** -- For each strain, see purchase count, total quantity consumed, average price paid, and your ELO ranking position
* **Sort options** -- Sort by ranking, name, or most consumed
The My Strains tab is directly connected to your [Collection](/help/features/collections-rankings). Any strain with an "owned" or "tasted" status appears here with its full analytics breakdown.
## Predictive Insights
The Stats Dashboard includes three predictive analytics cards powered by your consumption data:
Analysis of your consumption rate over time. Requires at least 5 consumption events for meaningful data.
Identifies potential monthly savings based on your purchasing patterns and suggests more cost-effective alternatives.
Predicts when your current stash items will run out based on your typical consumption rate. Includes low-stock alerts.
### Alert Levels for Restock
| Level | Meaning |
| ------------ | ----------------------------------------------- |
| **Normal** | All items have comfortable supply |
| **Low** | Some items running low based on predicted usage |
| **Critical** | One or more items likely to run out within days |
| **Empty** | Items have been depleted |
## Tips
**Switch between the 6-month and 12-month view** on the Spending tab to see both recent trends and longer-term patterns. Some spending patterns only become visible over longer periods.
The Activity Heatmap is a great way to recognize your own patterns. Many users discover they consume more on weekends or during certain seasons, which helps with budgeting and purchase planning.
