# App Overview

> A tour of the High IQ app — the main tabs, navigation, and what you'll find in each section.

## Overview

High IQ is organized around a tab-based navigation system. Each tab gives you access to a core area of the app, from managing your cannabis inventory to discovering new strains and reviewing your consumption analytics. This page walks through every section so you know where to find what you need.

## Main Tabs

The bottom navigation bar contains four primary tabs that you can switch between at any time: **Home**, **Stash**, **Notebooks**, and **You**.

### Home / Dashboard

The Dashboard is the first screen you see after signing in. It provides a curated overview of:

* **Recent stash activity** — Items you have recently added, consumed, or rated
* **Quick actions** — Upload an order, discover strains, scan a label (Pro), or play strain music
* **Personalized recommendations** — Strains suggested based on your preferences and history
* **Trending strains** — What is popular across the platform right now
* **Strain Discovery** — Browse curated lists, High Families, and the full strain database (accessible from Home)

### Stash Management

The Stash tab is where you manage everything you own, have ordered, or plan to purchase:

* **Current Stash** — Active inventory with strain details, quantities, and purchase info
* **Order History** — Past purchases imported from receipts or added manually
* **Favorites** — Strains you have bookmarked for quick access
* **Session Logging** — Record consumption sessions with strain, method, dosage, and effects
* **Collection** — Your complete strain collection with rankings and comparisons

  Long-press any item in your stash to quickly rate it, add notes, or mark it as consumed.

### Notebooks

The Notebooks tab is where readable notebook generation is being validated before launch:

* **Notebook Grid** — All your notebooks displayed as story circles with gradient rings by type
* **Notebook Sources** — Order and selected-stash task inputs; persisted immutable source snapshots remain Report V2 work, and time-period generation is not a current promise
* **5-Tab Detail View** — Each notebook has Overview, Strains, Terpenes, Plan, and Insights tabs
* **Stories Viewer** — Local/staging prototype for a full-screen reading format; no selected executor
* **Optional Formats** — Daily Stories, audio, mindmaps, infographics, images, and video are unavailable outside labeled prototypes; Daily Story scheduling is inert

### You

The You tab is your **My Cannabis Identity** hub, a scrollable profile that showcases your achievements journey alongside your personal tools:

* **Cannabis Identity** -- Your level badge, identity title (e.g., "The Connoisseur"), and completion ring
* **Featured Achievements** -- Pin up to 5 of your proudest achievements to your profile
* **Active Quests** -- Achievements you are closest to unlocking
* **Intelligence** -- Quick analytics snapshot with a link to the full Stats & Analytics dashboard
* **Achievements Hub** -- Browse all 40 achievements across 10 tracks
* **Dispensaries** -- Save and manage your cannabis dispensaries, track visits, and import orders
* **Label Scanner** -- AI-powered label analysis that extracts strain data from dispensary packaging (Pro)
* **Ask AI (Professor High)** -- Your AI cannabis assistant for research and personal data questions (beta; rolling out to Pro in a future update)
* **Settings** -- App preferences and configuration

## Navigation Patterns

Beyond the tab bar, High IQ uses several navigation patterns throughout the app:

* **Pull to refresh** — Works on most list screens to fetch the latest data
* **Search bar** — Available at the top of the Stash tab and Strain Discovery screen
* **Back button** — Tap the top-left arrow to return to the previous screen
* **Sheet modals** — Actions like adding a strain or logging a session slide up from the bottom
* **Swipe gestures** — Swipe left on stash items for quick actions (delete, edit, consume)

  The app remembers your position in each tab. Switching between tabs and back won't lose your scroll position or active filters.
