# What's in Pro

> High IQ has three access levels: Guest, Free, and Pro. Here's what you get at each tier and how the line is drawn.

## The simple version

High IQ has three access levels: **Guest** (logged out), **Free** (logged in), and **Pro** (\$12.99/month).

Guest gives you the full strain encyclopedia, discovery tools, and strain music — no account required. Free adds personal tracking: your stash, favorites, and manual order entry. **Pro unlocks every AI-powered feature in the app**, including the AI Label Scanner.

The rule is consistent: if a feature uses artificial intelligence to understand, generate, or personalize something for you, it lives in Pro.

## Guest — no account needed

Everything here is available to anyone who opens the app or visits the website, without signing in.

## Free — logged in, no subscription

Create a free account and unlock personal tracking features. Everything Guest gets, plus:

### Feature-by-feature

    Notebooks turn a frozen order or selected active-stash snapshot into a multi-section learning record. Available sections can cover the included strains, terpene context, summaries, and source groups.

    Companion formats are independent artifacts, not a guarantee for every notebook. Stories, mindmaps, audio, infographics, images, and video can be disabled or blocked separately while the readable notebook remains available. Failed sections can be retried without replacing sections that already completed.

    Four tabs of analytics give you a full picture of your cannabis journey. Track consumption patterns over time, see spending breakdowns by dispensary and strain type, discover your most-used terpenes, and surface insights you wouldn't notice on your own.

    Point your camera at a dispensary label, COA sticker, or retail package and AI vision reads it — extracting strain name, brand, THC/CBD percentages, individual terpenes, and a High Family classification with a confidence score. Single or batch (up to 4 images) scanning. Because it uses AI vision, the in-app Label Scanner is part of Pro.

    Take a photo of a dispensary receipt or upload one from your photo library. AI reads it, extracts every line item, matches strain names to the database, captures prices and quantities, and identifies the dispensary — then adds it to your orders.

    What used to be ten minutes of manual entry becomes two seconds of pointing your camera.

    Unlike a generic chatbot, Professor High knows you and knows the strain database.

    Daily Stories are an in-development concept for short, sourced learning cards such as strain spotlights, terpene facts, comparisons, and quizzes. Staging builds may show a labeled preview while the recipe and evidence policy are evaluated.

    No automatic cadence is promised. The feature remains availability-gated until its source, safety, and launch certification work is complete.

    Point High IQ at a dispensary menu and AI analyzes the whole thing — matching every product against the TIWIH strain database, flagging strains that fit your preferences, and surfacing what's worth your attention before you walk in.

    Cannabis Coach is a persistent AI companion — not a chatbot you start fresh every time. It remembers your tasting history, learns what effects and terpenes you actually enjoy, tracks what you're shopping for, and nudges you toward strains that fit you over time.

    Think of it as the difference between asking a stranger for a strain recommendation versus asking a friend who's been with you through every dispensary visit.

## How to think about the split

<Note>
  **Guest is browsing and discovery.** Everything you need to explore the strain encyclopedia and listen to strain music — no account required.

  **Free is personal tracking.** Create an account to build your stash, save favorites, and log orders by hand.

  **Pro is intelligence and automation.** Everything that uses AI to understand your data, answer your questions, generate something new, automate data entry, or personalize your experience.

If you're looking at a feature and wondering which tier it's in, here are two tests:

1. **Does it need an account?** If it's about your personal data (stash, favorites, orders), you need to be logged in. If it's about exploring the database, you don't.
2. **Does it need to think?** Search and browse don't need to think. Tracking an order you type in doesn't need to think. Parsing a receipt, syncing your Gmail, researching a strain, generating a notebook — those need to think. Thinking is Pro.

Strain Soundtracks are the exception: they're AI-generated, but they're free because we want every cannabis consumer to be able to experience strain music without barriers. (The AI Label Scanner, which uses live vision AI on each scan, is part of Pro.)

## Getting Pro

Pro is \$12.99/month, billed through your Apple ID. You can upgrade from inside the High IQ app any time — look for the **Upgrade** option in the **You** tab. Subscriptions are managed through your Apple account and can be canceled any time from iOS Settings.
