# Budtender Court — Scripts
> Five courtroom episodes putting bad dispensary advice on trial. Comedy wrapper, serious ruling. Script IDs BC-001 through BC-005.

**Every episode ends on the catchphrase.** *"This is why I'm high."* The line is the domain, so the sign-off does the funnel work with no "link in bio." Delivered flat and sincere, never explained, never in the first three seconds. See [The Funnel](/social/funnel#the-sign-off).

**The defendant is the claim, not the person.** Never name a dispensary, never name a budtender, never show an identifying badge or receipt header. Most budtenders are working with bad training and worse source material. The show is anti-misinformation, not anti-worker — and the moment it reads as punching down it stops being funny and starts being a liability.

## Production Batch Notes
* **The bit is the wrapper, the science is the ruling.** Professor High plays the courtroom completely straight — he genuinely believes he is presiding. He never acknowledges that a pineapple in a judge's robe is funny.
* Judge's robe goes *over* the lab coat, never instead of it. The lab coat is the character; the robe is the costume.
* Gavel hits land on frame one of the cold open and frame one of the verdict stamp. Sync them tightly — a late gavel deflates the whole conceit.
* Case numbers increment permanently across the series. `BC-001` is case #001 forever. The running docket is what makes it feel like a real show rather than a recurring joke.
* `BC-002` and `BC-004` both deliver non-obvious verdicts. If they underperform against `BC-001` and `BC-003`, the audience wants clean rulings and the show should stop being clever about it.
