# Look It Up — Scripts

> Seven episodes reverse-engineered from the funnel: each states one fact that creates a question only a lookup can answer. Script IDs LUP-001 through LUP-007.

<Note>
  **Arm 3 — Traffic.** Optimised for site visits. Test design: [The 100](/social/scripts/the-100/design). Character: [Character Config](/social/character-config).
</Note>

## Why This Pack Exists

From [The Funnel](/social/funnel#the-traffic-engine):

> The strongest funnel is not a call to action. It is a video that **creates a question only the site can answer.**
>
> **Every proportion we state is a lookup someone wants to run on their own strain. The data is the funnel.**

Every other pack in the slate *has* a CTA. This pack **is** one. Each episode is built backwards from a single search a viewer will want to run about themselves within about four seconds of the video ending.

## The Construction

```mermaid theme={null}
flowchart LR
    A["A PROPORTION<br/>0-6s<br/><i>true of cannabis,<br/>not about us</i>"] --> B["THE TURN<br/>6-12s<br/><i>'so what is yours'</i>"]
    B --> C["THE GAP<br/>12-16s<br/><i>he does not answer it</i>"]
    C --> D["TAG"]
```

<Warning>
  **Professor High must not close the loop.** The instinct will be to give an example — "for instance, Blue Dream is myrcene" — and every time we do that, we answer the question the video was built to leave open.

  He states the proportion. He points at the viewer's own jar. He stops. The unresolved question is the entire mechanism, and resolving it on camera converts a traffic video into an explainer.
</Warning>

## The Seven Questions

| ID | The claim | The question it plants |
| --------- | -------------------------------------------------- | -------------------------------- |
| `LUP-001` | Nearly half of all cannabis is myrcene-led         | *Is mine?*                       |
| `LUP-002` | Sour Diesel is limonene, not myrcene | *What is my favourite actually?* |
| `LUP-003` | One strain in the top ten is terpinolene | *Which one?* |
| `LUP-004` | Fewer than 1 in 200 reaches 30%                    | *Does mine?*                     |
| `LUP-005` | Your favourite and your worst may share a terpene | *Do they?* |
| `LUP-006` | Anything unresearched can be researched on request | *What if mine isn't there?* |
| `LUP-007` | Your four favourites may be one profile | *Are they?* |

Professor High — LOOK IT UP — LUP-001
Runtime: 15 seconds | 9:16 vertical
CHARACTERS
- professor-high-v1 — LOCKED. Already loaded with his image, voice and
  personality. Do NOT re-describe him — re-describing a saved character is the
  main cause of drift.
- No supporting cast — Professor High alone.
- Any supporting role may be recast freely between packs, never inside one — a
  recast mid-pack turns a format test into a casting test. Briefs and swap
  rules: /social/cast

TONE: Nature-documentary deadpan. He is stating a fact and then declining to
finish the thought. Slightly, deliberately unhelpful.

IMPORTANT — OPENING: Start COLD, already mid-sentence. No title card, no logo.

IMPORTANT — HE MUST NOT NAME AN EXAMPLE STRAIN. Do not add "for instance, Blue
Dream is myrcene" or any equivalent. The unresolved question is the entire
mechanism of this pack and naming an example destroys it.

ENVIRONMENT: Professor High's lab. Stylized, clean, warm practical lighting.
No product, packaging or paraphernalia. No brands or logos.

SHOTS + DIALOGUE:
1. (0:00-0:06) COLD OPEN. Static chest-up, deadpan. Single card, lower third.
   SAYS (PROF): "Nearly half of all cannabis is led by one single terpene.
   Myrcene. Forty-five point eight percent of everything classified."

2. (0:06-0:12) Slow push-in. No card.
   SAYS (PROF): "Which means there is a very good chance the last four things

   ON SCREEN: nothing
3. (0:12-0:15) Static chest-up. Closing card.
   SAYS (PROF): "Is yours. Go and find out. This is why I'm high."

bottom, 120px at top.

AUDIO: Original sound. Sparse strings.

DO NOT: No product, no smoking, no paraphernalia. No medical claims and no
claim that myrcene produces any effect. No real brand, dispensary or producer
names. Do not name an example strain.

Professor High — LOOK IT UP — LUP-007
Runtime: 17 seconds | 9:16 vertical

TONE: Nature-documentary deadpan, faintly provoking. "I will wait" is
delivered completely flat, not smugly.

IMPORTANT — OPENING: Start COLD, already mid-sentence. No title card, no logo.

IMPORTANT — HE MUST NOT NAME ANY STRAIN. The viewer supplies all four, which
is the entire point.

ENVIRONMENT: Professor High's lab. Stylized, clean. No product, packaging or
paraphernalia. No brands or logos. No strain names visible anywhere.

SHOTS + DIALOGUE:
1. (0:00-0:06) COLD OPEN. Static chest-up, deadpan. Single card, lower third.
   SAYS (PROF): "Name your four favourites. Three terpenes lead eighty-six
   percent of everything classified."
   ON SCREEN: 3 TERPENES -> 86%
2. (0:06-0:13) Slow push-in. Card changes.
   SAYS (PROF): "So four favourites is very unlikely to be four profiles. It
   is more likely two, possibly one, and you have been paying a premium for
   the names in between."
   ON SCREEN: 4 NAMES =/= 4 PROFILES
3. (0:13-0:17) Static chest-up. Closing card.
   SAYS (PROF): "Pull all four. I will wait. This is why I'm high."
   ON SCREEN: PULL ALL FOUR

ON-SCREEN TEXT STYLE: Beats 1-3. Bold sans-serif, white with heavy stroke,
lower third, pineapple yellow #D98E04 on "86%" and "FOUR". 250px clear at
bottom, 120px at top.

AUDIO: Original sound. Sparse strings.

DO NOT: No product, no smoking, no paraphernalia. No strain names spoken or
displayed. No medical claims. No real brand, dispensary or producer names.

<Note>
  **This is the only pack in the slate judged on a metric TikTok does not report.** Views, shares and saves are all visible in-platform; site sessions are not. Tag every one of these with its own UTM-bearing short link in the [performance log](/social/scripts/testing-framework#the-performance-log) before posting, or the pack produces no readable result at all.
