Overview

This is the versioned release plan for High IQ and the TIWIH platform. Every feature is assigned to a specific version, with clear themes, tier assignments, and honest completion status. As of July 3, 2026: the app is in staging/TestFlight and is not yet in the App Store. v1.0 below is the App Store launch release, targeted roughly 10-12 weeks out, gated on the six launch gates listed there — and only those six. See Launch Readiness for the certification detail.

ELO Head-to-Head

Side-by-side strain comparisons with ELO scoring

My Rankings

Personal strain leaderboard from your comparisons

Rankings Preview on Home

Rankings widget on the home screen

Branded Share Cards

Beautiful visual cards for social media sharing — the first viral loop
Rankings: ~90% — flag flip + QA. Core UI and ELO logic are built; remaining work is the flag flip and a QA pass.Share Cards: designed, not built. Moved up from later versions because they have zero hard dependencies and create the platform’s first distribution loop.

v1.2 — Badges & Achievements

Theme: “Track your journey”

6 Badge Categories

Earn badges across 6 engagement categories

4 Rarity Levels

Common, Rare, Epic, and Legendary badges

Achievement Hub

Central hub to view all badges and progress

Active Quests

Track progress toward upcoming badges
~90% — flag flip + QA. Badge system, progress tracking, and UI are built; remaining work is the flag flip and a QA pass.

v1.3 — Retention: Push Notifications & Email

Theme: “Come back for a reason”Promoted from v3.5 — retention is the highest-leverage post-launch investment, and the app currently has no push capability at all.

Push Notifications v1

expo-notifications foundation; permission prompt shown after the first value moment, never on first launch

Weekly Insight Digest

A weekly personalized stats/insights push

Restock Reminders

Stash-driven “running low” nudges

Daily Story Hook

Optional push into the existing Daily Stories feature

Email Capture

Owned-audience email list and lifecycle basics
Not started. There is no expo-notifications dependency in the app today — this is a from-scratch build (native capability, token registration, preference center, and send infrastructure).

v2.0 — Safari Extension & Sharing

Theme: “Shop smarter, share your intelligence”

Safari Web Extension

Browser extension for dispensary websites

Strain Intelligence Overlay

Real-time strain info overlaid on dispensary menus

Notebook Sharing & Export

Share research notebooks with friends

Read-Mode Viewer

Clean read-only view for shared content

Export All Data

Download your complete cannabis history
Safari extension: built, needs polish. Functional with Sunnyside support, mascot badges, and mobile viewport detection — needs production polish before public release. Notebook sharing infrastructure is partially built; read-mode and data export are planned.

v3.0 — Commerce Intelligence

Theme: “From intelligence to action”

Shopping Agent

AI finds your preferred strains at nearby dispensaries

Menu Extraction & Scanner

Scan dispensary menus for instant strain data

Menu Results

Structured menu data with pricing and availability

Dispensary Map View

Interactive map of nearby dispensaries with strain availability
Prototype stage (~30-40%) and partnership-gated. Shopping Agent and menu scanning are early prototypes, not launch-ready. The real blocker is a business dependency, not code: reliable menu data requires a Dutchie/Jane (or equivalent) partnership. This version does not ship until that partnership exists.

v4.0 — Studio Tier & AI Media Expansion

Theme: “The premium experience”
A new premium tier for power users and AI media enthusiasts. Studio launches here — not before.

Video Reports

AI-generated video strain reports — in development

Vanity Referral Codes

Custom referral links and codes

Priority Queue

Faster AI processing for notebooks and media

Extended Podcasts

Custom Voices

Theme: “Your personal cannabis advisor, everywhere”

Professor High Chat

Conversational AI cannabis advisor

Deep Research / Ask AI

In-depth AI-powered strain and cannabis research

Enhanced Insights

AI-driven personalized consumption insights

Health Sync

Connect Oura, Apple Health, and more

React Native Web App

Full High IQ experience in the browser

Chrome Extension

Cross-browser extension for dispensary websites

B2B Dashboards

Dispensary and brand analytics dashboards

Session Journal

Log sessions and track effects over time

Smart Suggestions

AI-guided strain discovery based on preferences
Deep Research / Ask AI is built and staging-gated today — the code exists behind a feature flag. v5.0 is the productionization release: cost controls, rate limits, quality evaluation, and (for purchase recommendations) the v3.0 commerce data layer. Same for Professor High chat.
Other long-horizon explorations (not committed): AI Worlds, Cannabis Personality, Barcode Scanner, Personal Strain Notes.

Parked — Requires Scale (10K+ MAU) and a Vision Amendment

These features contradict the current vision principle of no social features (“noise corrupts intelligence” — see Vision & Principles). They stay parked until (a) the platform reaches meaningful scale (10K+ MAU) where network effects exist, and (b) the vision is explicitly amended to allow them. They are listed here so they stop reappearing in version plans.

IQ Points

In-app currency earned through engagement

Challenges & Leaderboards

Community competitions and public leaderboards

Strain Compatibility

User-to-user taste matching

User Reviews

Community strain reviews and ratings

Neighborhood Ranks

See what strains are trending in your area
Distribution vs. social: share cards, referral codes, and shared notebooks are distribution artifacts — one-way outputs a user sends off-platform. They are allowed and encouraged. Feeds, reviews, likes, and leaderboards are social features — in-app network mechanics. Those are what’s parked.

Phase ↔ Version Mapping

Some growth and AI-media planning docs use a “Phase 1-8” numbering scheme. That scheme predates this version ladder. Reconciliation: This ladder is canonical; when a Phase-numbered doc disagrees, this page wins.
