How to Export Your Data

1

Open Profile Settings

From the Dashboard, tap your avatar or profile icon in the top-right corner to open your profile.
2

Navigate to Data & Privacy

Scroll down and tap Data & Privacy in the settings section.
3

Tap Export My Data

On the Data & Privacy screen, tap Export My Data. You will see a list of data categories available for export.
4

Select What to Export

Choose which categories you want to include. You can select individual categories or tap Select All to export everything.
5

Choose Export Format

Select your preferred format:
  • CSV — Spreadsheet-compatible format, good for opening in Excel, Google Sheets, or Numbers
  • JSON — Structured data format, useful for developers or data analysis tools
6

Confirm and Download

Tap Export. The app prepares your data and generates a downloadable file. Depending on how much data you have, this may take a few seconds.
7

Save or Share

Once the export is ready, the iOS share sheet opens. You can:
  • Save to Files (iCloud Drive, On My iPhone)
  • Send via AirDrop, Messages, or Email
  • Save to a cloud service like Dropbox or Google Drive
Export your data periodically as a personal backup. If you ever switch devices or need to reference historical data, having a local copy is invaluable.

Understanding Your Export

CSV Files

CSV (Comma-Separated Values) files can be opened in any spreadsheet application. Each row represents one record, and columns represent different data fields. Example stash export structure:
ColumnDescription
strain_nameName of the strain
quantityAmount in your stash
unitMeasurement unit (g, oz)
purchase_priceWhat you paid
dispensaryWhere you purchased it
ratingYour personal rating (1-5)
date_addedWhen you added it to your stash
notesYour personal notes
high_familyHigh Spectrum classification
thc_percentTHC percentage
cbd_percentCBD percentage

JSON Files

JSON exports contain the same data in a structured format suitable for programmatic use:
{
  "exported_at": "2026-02-16T12:00:00Z",
  "user": {
    "display_name": "Your Name",
    "account_created": "2025-11-01T00:00:00Z"
  },
  "stash": [
    {
      "strain_name": "Blue Dream",
      "quantity": 3.5,
      "unit": "g",
      "purchase_price": 45.00,
      "rating": 4,
      "high_family": "Create"
    }
  ]
}

Export Limitations

  • Exports include data as of the moment you trigger the export. Any changes made after the export will not be reflected in the downloaded file.
  • AI-generated report exports include the final text content but not the real-time streaming animation.
  • Scan history exports include extracted data but not the original label images (images are never stored).

Using Exported Data

Some common use cases for exported data:
  • Personal records — Keep a local backup of your cannabis history
  • Spreadsheet analysis — Open CSV files in Excel or Google Sheets for custom analysis
  • Tax tracking — Use order and spending data for financial record-keeping where applicable
  • Sharing with a physician — Provide consumption data to a medical professional in a structured format
  • Account migration — If you need to recreate your account, exported data helps you restore your history
Exported files may contain personal information including purchase history and consumption patterns. Store them securely and be mindful of who you share them with.

Troubleshooting

Large accounts with extensive order histories may take longer to compile. Keep the app open and wait for the share sheet to appear. If it takes more than 60 seconds, close and retry.
Make sure you are opening the file with a spreadsheet application (Excel, Numbers, Google Sheets) rather than a plain text editor. If special characters appear incorrectly, ensure your spreadsheet app is set to UTF-8 encoding.
Verify that you selected all desired categories before exporting. Each category (stash, orders, sessions, etc.) must be explicitly selected.
