High IQ is built with privacy as a core principle. We collect only the data necessary to provide the app’s features, we do not sell your personal information, and we give you full control over your data. This page explains exactly what we collect, how it is used, where it is stored, and what rights you have.
When you use the AI label scanner, the following applies:
Images are NOT stored. Captured label images are sent to the AI model for analysis and are immediately discarded after processing. They are not saved to our servers or any third-party storage.
Extracted data IS stored. The text data extracted from the scan (terpene values, THC/CBD percentages, strain name) is saved to enable your scan history and analytics.
IP addresses are hashed. For rate limiting and abuse prevention, your IP address is converted to an irreversible SHA-256 hash. The original IP is never stored.
We collect anonymized, aggregated analytics to improve the app:
Screen views and navigation patterns (no personal identifiers)
Feature usage frequency (e.g., how often the scanner is used)
Error reports and crash data (via Sentry, with minimal context)
App performance metrics
Analytics data is anonymized — it cannot be traced back to individual users. We use it solely to identify bugs, improve performance, and understand which features are most valuable.
