Current Known Issues
iOS only — no Android or web version
iOS only — no Android or web version
Status: By design (not a bug)High IQ is currently available exclusively on iOS (iPhone and iPad). There is no Android app or full web app at this time.Workaround: You can browse the strain database and read strain profiles on the This Is Why I’m High website from any device. The website includes the full strain encyclopedia, High Families, terpene data, and research hub.Outlook: Android support is on the roadmap but does not have a confirmed release date.
Label scanner may struggle with handwritten or damaged labels
Label scanner may struggle with handwritten or damaged labels
Status: Known limitationThe AI label scanner works best with printed dispensary labels. Handwritten labels, heavily creased labels, or labels with ink smudges may not parse correctly.Workaround: If the scanner cannot read your label, use manual entry to add the strain and its details to your stash. You can also try taking the photo from a different angle or in better lighting.Outlook: Scanner accuracy is continuously improving as the AI model is trained on more label formats.
Report generation can be slow on poor connections
Report generation can be slow on poor connections
Status: Known limitationAI-powered reports use streaming (Server-Sent Events) to deliver sections in real time. On slow or unreliable connections, the stream may stall or take significantly longer than the typical 30-90 seconds.Workaround: Use a stable Wi-Fi connection when generating reports. Keep the app in the foreground during generation — switching apps can pause the stream. If a report stalls for more than 2 minutes, go back and regenerate it.Outlook: We are investigating offline queuing so reports can generate in the background and notify you when ready.
Strain images may take a moment to load
Strain images may take a moment to load
Status: Known limitationStrain images are loaded from a CDN and cached locally. On first view, images may take 1-3 seconds to appear, especially on cellular connections. Scrolling quickly through the strain list may show placeholder images briefly.Workaround: Images are cached after the first load, so subsequent views are instant. Scrolling more slowly gives images time to load.Outlook: We are working on improved prefetching and lower-resolution preview images for faster initial loads.
Push notifications not yet available
Push notifications not yet available
Status: Planned featureHigh IQ does not currently send push notifications for restock reminders, new strain alerts, or report completion.Workaround: Check the app periodically for updates to your reports and stash status. The Stats dashboard shows restock predictions that you can check manually.Outlook: Push notifications are planned for a future release.
Dark mode may have visual inconsistencies on some screens
Dark mode may have visual inconsistencies on some screens
Status: In progressWhile dark mode is supported throughout the app, some screens or components may have minor visual inconsistencies such as slightly mismatched background shades or text contrast issues.Workaround: If a screen is difficult to read in dark mode, switch to light mode temporarily via Settings > Appearance. Report specific screens with issues to help us fix them.Outlook: We are systematically auditing all screens for dark mode consistency.
Dutchie order import limited to email-based parsing
Dutchie order import limited to email-based parsing
Status: Known limitationDutchie order import currently works by parsing order confirmation emails. There is no direct API integration with Dutchie at this time, which means orders placed without email confirmations cannot be automatically imported.Workaround: For orders without email confirmations, use photo capture on the physical receipt or the Dutchie order history page (screenshot), or enter the order manually.Outlook: We are exploring direct dispensary integrations for a more seamless import experience.
Stats may not update immediately after adding data
Stats may not update immediately after adding data
Status: Known behaviorAfter adding a new stash item, session, or order, the Stats dashboard and badge progress may take a few seconds to recalculate. Complex statistics like consumption velocity and restock predictions involve aggregation that runs asynchronously.Workaround: Navigate away from the Stats tab and return after a few seconds. Pull to refresh if stats still appear stale.Outlook: This is expected behavior. Stats calculations are near-real-time but not instantaneous for complex aggregations.
