Production Batch Notes
- The bit is the wrapper, the science is the ruling. Professor High plays the courtroom completely straight — he genuinely believes he is presiding. He never acknowledges that a pineapple in a judge’s robe is funny.
- Judge’s robe goes over the lab coat, never instead of it. The lab coat is the character; the robe is the costume.
- Gavel hits land on frame one of the cold open and frame one of the verdict stamp. Sync them tightly — a late gavel deflates the whole conceit.
- Case numbers increment permanently across the series.
BC-001is case #001 forever. The running docket is what makes it feel like a real show rather than a recurring joke. BC-002andBC-004both deliver non-obvious verdicts. If they underperform againstBC-001andBC-003, the audience wants clean rulings and the show should stop being clever about it.- Maintain a backlog of at least ten submitted cases before launching. A courtroom with an empty docket is the fastest way to kill the premise.
